Seminar Information

Environment Canada's 30th Arctic and Marine Oilspill Program (AMOP) Technical Seminar will be held from June 5 to 7, 2007 at the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The AMOP Technical Seminar provides a forum for technology transfer among professionals working in the field of oil spills and hazardous materials spills. It will feature papers on assessing, cleaning up and controlling marine oil spills in the Arctic as well as in other environments. Sessions for the 24th Technical Seminar on Chemical Spills (TSOCS) and the 8th Biological Solutions for Site Remediation, Restoration and Rehabilitation (BIOSOLR3) Symposium will be incorporated into the AMOP Seminar.

Plenary sessions of 10- or 20-minute presentations will be featured, followed by a question period. There will also be a Speakers' Corner where speakers can present "last minute" results in their research. Poster Presentations will be held daily at which researchers can present their latest work. Booths will be set up during the Seminar to exhibit equipment used for oil and chemical cleanup and spill-related services.
